PETROLEUM TECHNOLOGY DEVELOPMENT FUND (PTDF) OVERSEAS POSTGRADUATE SCHOLARSHIP 2024



The Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF), a Federal Government agency dedicated to fostering indigenous human capacity in petroleum technology, is now accepting applications for the Overseas MSc and PhD scholarships. Aimed at meeting the demands of the oil and gas industry, this initiative invites qualified candidates to pursue specific programs at selected institutions under the PTDF Overseas Scholarship Scheme for the 2024/2025 academic session.

Requirements

MSc:

Minimum Second Class Upper (2.1) qualification or Second Class Lower (2.2) with relevant experience.
Completion of National Youth Service (NYSC).
Computer literacy.
5 O/level credits, including English Language and Mathematics.
Statement of purpose (max 500 words) highlighting the study's relevance to the industry.

PhD:

Completion of National Youth Service (NYSC).
Computer literacy.
5 O/level credits, including English Language and Mathematics.
Minimum Second Class Lower (2.2) in the first degree and a good post-graduate degree.
Research proposal relevant to the oil and gas industry.

Required Documents

First Degree Certificate or Statement of Result.
NYSC discharge certificate.
WAEC/GCE/SSCE/NECO results with PINs.
Recent Passport Photograph.
Local Government Identification Letter.
Master’s Degree Certificate (PhD Applicants only).
Evidence of membership in professional associations.
